Wardrobe Designer

I am a Costume Designer. I like to say it wasn't the first shoe that fit and it won't be the last, but it's really cute and I can wear it for 14 hours straight! In all my time wandering in and out of career paths I have finally found something that marries my practical skills but still challenges my creative side. These are examples from my past projects.

The Assassins Wife
Written and Directed by Dan Soloman

I Designed Wardrobe and assisted with make up on this project. It is a short that revisits the old question of whether Lee Harvey Oswald was just a patsy for the US government for the assassination of JFK. Did he actually write a suicide note the morning of the shooting? Did he leave his house with curtain rods and not the sniper rifle? Was he a lone gunman or was he framed?

My first Feature film was Red Dirt Rising http://www.reddirtrising.com/ Directed by Kathleen Bobak and James Suttles.
I had worked with Bo on a short film earlier last year, and hit it off straight away. She gave me a very big chance and a very big challenge -- re create 1930's - 1940's rural North Carolina, oh and do it for $2000. I don't know how, but we eeked it out. My response when asked what I thought of this experience was, It's the hardest work I've ever done and I can't wait to do it again! This film is inspired by the real life events of Jimmy Lewallen and his best friends Bill and Fred. These are the boys that took moonshine running and with the help of a few great men, turned it into stock car racing.
